VascuPen uses a precise wavelength of green light to target and cauterise small, superficial blood vessels on the face — breaking down the vessel wall so it can be reabsorbed by the body naturally, leaving the surrounding skin unaffected and the treated area progressively clearer.
VascuPen is a highly targeted treatment that works by delivering a focused beam of green light energy directly into a small, superficial facial vessel. The vessel absorbs the energy and heats up, causing it to close and collapse – the body then clears the closed vessel naturally over the following weeks, resulting in smoother, more even-toned skin with visibly reduced redness and capillary visibility.
Treatment is quick – often under 10 minutes for a full session – and most concerns can be addressed in just 1 to 3 sessions.

Broken capillaries
Delivers precise green light energy directly into individual broken capillaries — closing each vessel so the body can reabsorb it naturally, leaving the area progressively clearer within 1–2 sessions.
Thread veins (face)
Targets each thread vein individually with precise green light — causing it to close and fade progressively over the weeks after treatment. Most fine thread veins respond within 1–3 sessions.

Frequently asked questions
How is VascuPen different to ClearVas?
VascuPen uses green light and is best suited to small, superficial, isolated vessels on the face — broken capillaries, fine thread veins, and cherry angiomas. ClearVas uses Nd:YAG 1064nm laser and is better suited to deeper, larger, or more widespread vascular concerns, and can also be used on the body.
Does it hurt?
Most clients describe a mild stinging or flicking sensation as each vessel is targeted. The treatment is very quick and most people find it easily tolerable without any numbing.
How soon will I see results?
The treated vessel closes during treatment, but the body takes 2–4 weeks to fully reabsorb it. Most clients see noticeable clearing within 4 weeks of each session.
Do I need more than one session?
Many isolated capillaries and cherry angiomas respond fully within one session. More extensive thread veins or a larger number of capillaries may require 2–3 sessions. This will be confirmed at consultation.
Can VascuPen treat veins on the legs?
VascuPen is designed for small, superficial facial vessels and is not suited to leg veins. For body and leg vascular concerns, ClearVas would be the more appropriate treatment.
Is there anything I need to avoid after treatment?
Avoid sun exposure to the treated area for at least 2 weeks and apply SPF daily. Avoid hot showers, steam, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment. Full aftercare guidance will be provided at your appointment.
How long do results last?
Results can last up to a year. New vessels can develop over time — maintenance sessions can be recommended where needed.
