Rejuvenate and repair your skin with polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are cutting-edge injectable treatments that repair, hydrate, and rejuvenate the skin at a cellular level. By stimulating collagen production and enhancing skin regeneration, they improve elasticity, texture, and hydration while reducing fine lines and inflammation. Ideal for ageing, dull, or compromised skin, polynucleotides promote natural skin renewal for a fresher, healthier complexion.

At Smooth Dimensions, our Advanced Aesthetic Nurse, Fiona Mahandru, is highly skilled in administering Polynucleotide treatments. Using a personalised approach, Fiona ensures subtle, natural results that enhance your skin’s health and appearance.

Can polynucleotides be combined with other treatments?

Yes, polynucleotides can be combined with treatments such as Botox®, dermal fillers or skin boosters for enhanced skin rejuvenation.

Does the treatment hurt?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort. Numbing cream can be applied before the procedure to ensure comfort.

How do polynucleotides work?

Polynucleotides stimulate skin repair at the cellular level, boost hydration, and improve elasticity and firmness.

How long do the results last?

Results typically last around 6 to 9 months, depending on individual factors such as skin condition and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments are recommended to continue to see improvements.

How long does the procedure take?

The treatment typically takes 30 – 45 minutes.

How many treatments are needed?

A minimum of 3 treatments, spaced 2 – 3 weeks apart, is recommended for optimal results. Followed by maintenance treatments every 6 – 9 months.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime. Most patients resume normal activities immediately, though strenuous exercise should be avoided for 24 hours. Slight redness, swelling, and small bumps are often present at the injection sites, usually resolving within a few hours to 24 hours. May be some mild bruising. To minimise downtime, avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, heat exposure (saunas, steam rooms), and makeup for 24 hours.

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are biostimulatory molecules that repair and rejuvenate the skin by improving collagen production, hydration, and cell regeneration.

When will I see results?

Initial improvements can be seen after 2 – 3 weeks, with continued enhancements as the skin regenerates and once the initial course has been completed. It's important to maintain with treatments every 6 to 9 months to continue seeing improvements.

Which areas can Polynucleotides treat?

Polynucleotides can be used to treat many areas by stimulating collagen production and enhancing skin regeneration. Treatment areas include:

  • Face, including under-eyes
  • Neck & décolletage
  • Hands
  • Scalp – for hair restoration
  • Areas with scarring or skin damage – e.g. rosacea, pigmentation
