Introduction

Face and Skin Tightening Essex

Radiofrequency skin tightening is designed for patients experiencing reduced firmness, facial skin laxity, early jowling or a loss of definition around the jawline and neck. Treatment supports the skin’s natural collagen-remodelling response, helping it appear gradually firmer, smoother and more defined.

Treatment Overview

What causes facial skin laxity?

Collagen and elastin help give the skin its strength, firmness and ability to return to position. Their production naturally declines with age, which can contribute to looser skin, fine lines and less definition through the lower face.

Changes in weight, sun exposure, genetics and lifestyle can also affect skin quality. Some patients notice early jowls, while others are concerned about loose-looking skin beneath the chin or across the neck, sometimes referred to as a turkey neck.

How it works

How does Radiofrequency Skin Tightening work?

Alma PrimeX uses radiofrequency energy to create controlled, even heating within the deeper layers of the skin.

This thermal effect targets existing collagen fibres and stimulates the formation of new collagen. Improvements develop gradually as the skin remodels itself, rather than creating an immediate surgical-style lift.

At Smooth Dimensions, treatment is delivered using the UniFace applicator on the Alma PrimeX platform. This non-invasive treatment uses controlled radiofrequency energy to gently warm the deeper layers of the skin, without needles or incisions.

What can Face Tightening help improve?

Radiofrequency facial treatment may help improve the appearance of:

Mild to moderate facial skin laxity

Early or developing jowls

Reduced jawline definition

Loose-looking skin beneath the chin

Neck skin laxity

Fine lines associated with declining collagen

Treatment can be used across the face, lower face, jawline and neck. The areas selected will depend on your concerns and the result you would like to achieve.

Consultation

Consultation and Prices

A consultation is required before treatment. Your practitioner will assess whether skin laxity is the main concern or whether factors such as facial volume loss or fullness beneath the chin and around the lower face are also affecting definition.

Your recommended treatment areas, course, appointment duration and price will be confirmed during consultation.

The Treatment Process

What happens during treatment?

Your practitioner will assess your face, jawline and neck before creating a personalised treatment plan.

The Alma PrimeX applicator is moved across the selected area while radiofrequency energy gently heats the tissue. Most patients experience a warming sensation during treatment.

There is usually minimal downtime, and normal activities can generally be resumed after the appointment. Temporary warmth or redness may occur.

We discuss your goals, review your medical history and assess your skin.

2

We agree the areas to treat and take photos for your treatment record.

3

The skin is cleansed before targeted energy is applied to the treatment area to support firmer-looking skin.

4

You’ll receive personalised aftercare guidance before leaving the clinic.

When will I see results?

Some patients may notice an early improvement in how firm or smooth the skin appears. More significant changes develop progressively as new collagen forms over the following weeks.

A course of four to six treatments, spaced approximately two weeks apart, is generally recommended to achieve the best result. Your practitioner will advise whether four or six sessions are most appropriate based on the degree of skin laxity, the areas being treated and your individual response.

Faqs

Face and Skin Tightening FAQs

Have questions before booking? Here are the most common things patients ask about consultations, pricing, results, downtime and suitability.

Radiofrequency energy creates controlled heat within the deeper skin layers. This supports collagen contraction and stimulates new collagen formation, helping the skin appear gradually firmer.

The right treatment depends on the degree of laxity, treatment area and desired result. Radiofrequency may suit patients seeking gradual, non-surgical improvement without significant downtime.

It can improve the appearance of mild to moderate skin laxity and reduced firmness. Results vary and will not be equivalent to a surgical facelift.

Radiofrequency can be used to improve mild laxity across the neck and beneath the chin. Patients concerned about what is sometimes called a turkey neck will need an assessment to determine whether non-surgical treatment is suitable.

This depends on whether the jowls are caused mainly by skin laxity, volume loss, localised fat or a combination. Radiofrequency skin tightening may help when mild to moderate laxity is the main concern.

A course of four to six treatments, spaced approximately two weeks apart, is generally recommended. Your practitioner will confirm the most suitable course after assessing your skin, treatment areas and goals.

Most patients experience a comfortable warming sensation rather than pain. Treatment intensity is selected individually.

Face skin tightening costs £900 for a course of four treatments or £1,275 for a course of six.

Face and neck skin tightening costs £1,080 for a course of four treatments or £1,530 for a course of six. A consultation is required before your first treatment.
