Achieve a youthful, defined neck and jawline with the nefertiti lift (neck lift) for a refreshed appearance
Achieve a youthful, defined neck and jawline with the nefertiti lift (neck lift) for a refreshed appearance
Over time, the natural ageing process and repetitive muscle movements can cause the neck area to lose firmness and definition. The nefertiti lift (neck lift) is a revolutionary, non-surgical treatment that uses botulinum toxin to relax specific muscles in the neck and jawline. By targeting the platysma muscle, this treatment can create a smoother, lifted appearance, redefine your jawline, and reduce sagging.
At Smooth Dimensions, our Advanced Aesthetic Nurse, Fiona Mahandru, specialises in this treatment. With years of experience and a focus on delivering natural, balanced results, Fiona will carefully assess your needs and recommend the best approach for achieving your aesthetic goals.

Treatment FAQs
Frequently asked questions
How much does the nefertiti lift cost?
Pricing for the nefertiti lift at Smooth Dimensions varies depending on how much product is needed. See pricing above.
How long do the results last?
Results typically last 3 – 6 months, depending on individual factors such as muscle activity and metabolism.
Are there side effects?
Side effects are usually mild and temporary, including slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These typically resolve quickly.
Is the nefertiti lift safe?
Yes, when performed by a qualified professional such as our Advanced Aesthetic Nurse, Fiona Mahandru, the treatment is safe and effective.
What is the nefertiti lift?
The nefertiti lift is a non-surgical treatment that uses botulinum toxin to lift and redefine the neck and jawline by relaxing specific muscles.
Does the nefertiti lift hurt?
Most patients experience only minimal discomfort, described as a small pinch during the injections.
How long does the procedure take?
The treatment typically takes 15 – 30 minutes, making it a quick and convenient option.
When will I see results?
Results start to appear within 5 – 10 days, with full effects visible after around 2 weeks.
Is there any downtime?
There is little to no downtime. You can resume normal activities immediately, but it is advised to avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes, the nefertiti lift can be combined with other aesthetic treatments such as dermal fillers or skin boosters for enhanced results.
Do I need a top up?
A top-up after anti-wrinkle injections isn’t always necessary, but it depends on individual results. We will consider the following:
- Full effects appear 14 days post-treatment. If some areas still have movement, a small top-up may be needed.
- If asymmetry or excessive movement remains after 2 weeks, a review appointment can determine if an adjustment is required.
- If results are smooth and effective, no top-up is necessary. Over-treating can lead to a frozen look.
Why is it important to wait 3 months between treatments for anti wrinkle injections?
- Prevents resistance: Over-treating too frequently can lead to the body producing antibodies against anti-wrinkle injections, making it less effective over time.
- Allows full wear-off: Results typically last 3 to 4 months. Treating too soon can lead to uneven results and unnecessary product use.
- Maintains natural muscle movement: Regular spacing prevents muscles from becoming overly weak, which can lead to a heavy or unnatural look.
- Prevents over-correction: Treating too early increases the risk of excessive relaxation, leading to drooping or an unnatural expression.
- Long-term effectiveness: Sticking to a 3 month cycle helps maintain optimal results while keeping the muscles trained to be less active over time.
Is there anything I need to do before my treatment?
To minimise bruising, swelling, and complications, avoid the following before your appointment:
7 days before treatment:
- Ibuprofen, naproxen, and other NSAIDs.
- Alcohol – increases the risk of bruising and swelling.
- Omega-3 & vitamin E – can thin the blood and increase bruising.
- Herbal supplements, especially Ginkgo Biloba, St. John’s Wort, and Ginseng – increases the risk of bruising.
24 to 48 hours before treatment:
- Caffeine – can increase sensitivity and bruising risk.
- Intense exercise – can increase blood flow and worsen swelling or bruising.
On the day of treatment:
- Arrive makeup-free if possible.
- Stay hydrated and eat a light meal to prevent feeling lightheaded.
- Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine.
If you are prone to bruising, Arnica supplements may help when taken a few days before treatment.
