What is SkinPen® microneedling?
SkinPen® is a medical-grade microneedling device that creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate natural collagen and elastin production. It’s clinically proven to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines, scars, and pores.
What concerns can SkinPen® help with?

Is there any downtime?
Downtime is minimal. You may experience redness, mild swelling, and skin sensitivity for 24–48 hours post-treatment – similar to a light sunburn. Most clients return to normal activities within a day or two.
How soon will I see results and how long do they last?
Some clients notice a healthy glow within a few days. Collagen regeneration and visible skin improvements typically develop over 2 – 6 weeks, with optimal results after a course of treatments. Results can last several months, especially when maintained with regular skincare and sun protection. Collagen continues to build for up to 3 – 6 months post-treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
A course of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended for best results. Maintenance treatments can be done every 6–12 months.
Is SkinPen® safe for all skin types?
SkinPen® is clinically proven to be safe and effective for many skin types, including darker skin tones.
Does SkinPen® microneedling hurt?
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to ensure comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild or tolerable.
What aftercare is required?
You’ll be given specific aftercare instructions, but generally:
- Avoid sun exposure, heat, and exercise for 24 – 48 hours
- Use gentle, hydrating skincare
- Avoid active ingredients (retinol, acids) for several days
- Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours, to reduce the risk of irritation or infection.
