How is PrimeX different from surgical skin tightening?
Surgical procedures physically remove excess skin — results are immediate and dramatic but involve significant recovery time and scarring. PrimeX stimulates the skin's own collagen production to gradually improve firmness — results are more subtle and develop over time, but there is no surgery, no scarring, and no downtime.
Is it suitable after significant weight loss?
Yes — PrimeX can be an effective option for improving skin laxity following weight loss. The degree of improvement depends on how much excess skin is present. In cases of very significant skin excess, surgical options may be more appropriate. Your practitioner will give you an honest assessment at consultation.
How soon after pregnancy can I start treatment?
We recommend waiting at least 6 months after giving birth and until after you have finished breastfeeding before beginning PrimeX treatment. Your practitioner will confirm suitability at consultation.
Can I have skin tightening and body contouring in the same session?
Yes — in many cases both are performed together in the same session, using both ultrasound and RF applicators to reduce fat and tighten the skin simultaneously.
Is skin tightening painful?
No — most clients find the treatment comfortable. You will feel a warm sensation as the RF energy is delivered, which most people describe as similar to a hot stone massage. Parameters are monitored and adjusted throughout to keep you comfortable.
Will I need ongoing maintenance sessions?
As collagen production naturally continues to decline with age, periodic maintenance sessions can help to sustain results long term. Your practitioner will recommend a maintenance schedule at the end of your course based on your individual results.
