Alma PrimeX is a non-invasive treatment platform used at Smooth Dimensions in Great Dunmow, Essex, for face and body treatments.
It combines two main technologies:
- Radiofrequency (RF) for skin tightening and collagen stimulation
- Ultrasound for body contouring and areas of localised fat
These technologies can be used separately or together, depending on the concern being treated.
What is Alma PrimeX and how does it work?

Can radiofrequency and ultrasound be combined?
Yes. Where appropriate, the two technologies can be used as part of the same treatment plan.
For example, someone may have both a small area of localised fat and reduced skin firmness. In this situation, ultrasound can address the contours while radiofrequency focuses on skin tightening.

Can PrimeX tighten loose skin on the body?
Yes. PrimeX radiofrequency can also be used for body skin tightening.

What is the difference between body sculpting and skin tightening?

Can PrimeX help reduce the appearance of cellulite?

Before and after 2 treatments targeting stubborn fat, cellulite and body contouring.
Cellulite looks like dimpled skin. It is caused by the relationship between fat, connective tissue, circulation and the surface of the skin.
This means treating cellulite is not necessarily the same as simply reducing fat.
PrimeX body treatments can combine radiofrequency with other treatment features to work on skin firmness, circulation and contour.
Cellulite cannot always be removed completely.
The aim is to improve its appearance and create smoother-looking skin.
Can PrimeX be used for buttock lifting and contouring?
Smooth Dimensions also uses PrimeX for buttock lifting and contouring, sometimes described as a non-surgical BBL.
This is not the same as a surgical Brazilian Butt Lift.
There is no fat transfer and no surgery.
Instead, treatment focuses on body sculpting by improving the contour of the area and the appearance of the overlying skin.
This treatment is suitable for people who want to improve shape, firmness or their body definition without surgery.

How long does it take to see PrimeX results?

Does Alma PrimeX have downtime?

What is the difference between Alma PrimeX and Alma Harmony?
Smooth Dimensions uses both Alma PrimeX and Alma Harmony Laser treatment, but they have different purposes.
Alma Harmony uses laser and IPL technologies. It is used for skin concerns such as:

- skin resurfacing

How is a PrimeX treatment plan created?
Treatment begins with a consultation.
You do not need to decide which PrimeX technology you need before you arrive.

No.
PrimeX is not a treatment for overall weight loss.
