Gummy smile treatment

Giving you confidence in your smile

Gummy smile is caused by several things, including a hyperactive muscle which elevates the upper lip; a thin upper lip (known as a high lip line); or teeth affected from altered passive eruption. In some cases, when the ratio changes in favour of more pink gum showing than white teeth there is a need for a gummy smile treatment.

The procedure uses anti-wrinkle injections to achieve the desired results. A small amount is be injected to weaken the muscles. Within a few days after treatment, elevation of the upper lip will reduce, meaning that less of your gums will be on show and you will have a renewed confidence in your smile.
